About
Umpqua Valley Rainbow Collective(UVRC) was started in February 2022 as a group of queer folks wanting to create safer spaces and community for LGBTQIA2S+ peoples in Douglas County. We recognized there was a strong desire to build more LGBTQIA2S+ community here. We started with game nights, dinners, groups, potlucks, etc. Since then we have grown significantly to leading Douglas County Pride planning, endeavoring to a county-wide LGBTQIA2S+ Community Assessment, and expanding on our support groups, events, and activities.
Mission
Umpqua Valley Rainbow Collective(UVRC) is a LGBTQIA2S+ led organization providing support, resources, and education for the Lesbian, Gay, Bi, Trans, Intersex, Asexual, 2-Spirited Plus (LGBTQIA2S+) community and our allies in Douglas County Oregon.
