Juliet Deliece Rutter

Juliet Rutter joined the Umpqua Valley Rainbow Collective in the fall of 2022 driven by a passion to improve the lives of LGBTQIA2S+ people in Douglas County. As a third generation resident of Douglas County, Juliet has sought ways to connect people and develop systems that are more effective and efficient in a rural setting. Through years of study in performing arts and community development, culminating in a M.S. in Arts Administration and a G.C. in Nonprofit Management, Juliet has come to appreciate creative, collaborative, and community driven initiatives that lead to long term success. In subsequent years, Juliet has lived and worked in the Umpqua Valley for organizations such as the Boys and Girls Club of the Umpqua Valley, The Roseburg Public Library, the Health Care Coalition of Southern Oregon, and Transponder. Juliet has also volunteered as an ACE Interface trainer, and a Commissioner for the Roseburg City Library. Juliet is excited to put their interpersonal skills, creativity, and nonprofit experience to use by facilitating productive partnerships and programs with UVRC. By doing this work, Juliet hopes to contribute creative and modern ideas to influential groups, and help fellow locals in their life’s journeys.
